What St. George Elite Pools is

St. George Elite Pools is an independent referral service. We connect homeowners in the St. George, UT area with independent, third-party pool cleaning and equipment-repair companies -- we do not clean pools or perform repairs ourselves. Utah does not issue a specific contractor license for pool service/maintenance work; always verify any general contractor license and insurance directly with a provider before hiring. We built this site to answer the questions a St. George-area pool owner actually has before calling anyone: what weekly cleaning and each kind of equipment repair really cost here, why a pump that hums won't start, whether that water loss is a real leak or just a St. George summer, and what Utah's licensing rules actually say about the company you're about to call. Then, if you want one, we connect you with an independent local company that does the work. Every cost figure and licensing note on this site is dated and sourced.

What we are not

We do not clean pools, and we do not repair, replace, or install pool equipment. No one on our team runs a route or opens a pump housing, and nothing on this site should read as if we do. We do not build, remodel, or resurface pools and do not match requests for that work -- that is Utah DOPL S330 (Landscape & Recreation Contractor) territory, and we stay out of it on purpose. We are not a review site: we don't publish star ratings, review counts, or "licensed and insured" claims we haven't verified for a specific company. And we are not affiliated with the Utah Division of Professional Licensing, the City of St. George, or Washington County -- we cite their public pages, but we are an independent publisher, not a government source.

Who researches and maintains this site

St. George Elite Pools is maintained by a small research and editorial team focused on Southern Utah home-services information. We read the source ourselves -- a DOPL classification page, a national cost aggregator's dated guide, a St. George company's own published service page -- before publishing a number or a rule, and we log where every claim came from and when we last checked it. Our research methodology

• Local first, then regional, then national -- and labeled. No St. George-area pool company publishes its own pricing, so our ranges are built from 2026 national cost-guide data plus the nearest real regional data point we could find (a Salt Lake City weekly-service estimate), and every cost table shows which source backs which number. We never present a national figure as a St. George figure without saying so.
• One number, everywhere. Every dollar figure on this site renders from a single internal price sheet, so the pump-repair range on the pump page cannot quietly disagree with the one on the cost guide.
• Dated and rechecked. Every guide shows when it was last reviewed (currently September 2026). Prices and licensing rules get rechecked before each republish.
• No invented facts. Where something can't be verified -- a St. George-specific trip fee, a local heater-replacement quote -- we say so on the page instead of guessing.
• Utah-specific where it matters. Utah's DOPL doesn't license pool service or repair the way some states do; we explain exactly what that means for hiring, rather than repeating a generic "licensed and insured" line that doesn't apply here.

Licensing context we publish

Utah's Division of Professional Licensing has no license classification covering pool cleaning, service, or equipment repair -- the only classification that touches pools, S330 (Landscape & Recreation Contractor), covers new construction and installation, not ongoing service. That means a company that only cleans pools and repairs pumps, heaters, and leaks legitimately has nothing to be DOPL-licensed under -- normal for this trade in Utah, not a red flag.
